Since 1982, Dave has strived to provide value-added service beyond customer expectations. He takes his business seriously, which is why he ran for, and was elected, president of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). As president (beginning September 2005), Dave is working to ensure his industry is an advocate for a positive legislative and regulatory environment ,and promotes the ethical conduct of its members.

Dave is also a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), Association for Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU), Association of Health Insurance Advisors (AHIA), Society for Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), The American College (TAC), National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), and the Flint Estate Planning Council (FEPC).

Dave joined Security First Benefits in 1989. Dave and his wife, Pat, have a son and a daughter. Pat and their son, Larry, work with Dave in the business. Dave is an avid golfer and enjoys gardening.
